Team

Elise (she/her) is a facilitator and Gender Studies scholar. She has worked as a project manager on a variety of gender-related topics, including gender finance, menstrual health and patriarchal organisation structures. Her focus lies on understanding how patriarchy, in intersection with other systems of oppression, shapes the way we think, feel and relate to the world. She is passionately committed to creating open spaces, especially for cis-men, to reflect, question, unlearn and redefine our societal understanding of partriarchy and gender dynamics.

Elise works both in English and German.

Jörn (he/him) is a democracy practitioner and member of the leadership team at Democratic Society with twelve years of experience working on participation, civic infrastructure and social justice at grassroots and institutional level. Beyond Patriarchy is personal for Jörn because he believes that democracy does not only happen in institutions, but also in how we share power, take responsibility, care for each other and show up in our relationships. He is interested in creating spaces where people can learn together, question inherited ideas of masculinity, and work on a future beyond patriarchal structures.

Jörn works in English, French and German and loves to practice his Italian.

Jack Becher (he/they) are an experienced facilitator and movement builder working at the intersection of interpersonal and planetary systems transformation. They draw on a diverse range of methods including Art of Hosting, Appreciative Inquiry, Deep Democracy, Time to Think, Theory-U, Generative Journalism, and The Work That Reconnects.
